Who Wants a Sneak Peak at the Chef’s Recipes?
Attention all food lovers ~ The Yorktowne Hotel’s Facebook Like Page will soon be offering a rare glimpse into the heart of the Chef’s kitchen. Wouldn’t you like to know how the Tempura Battered Oysters are prepared to perfection? Or, would you prefer to know the secret ingredient to the Australian Barramundi’s Kiwi Lime Cream. How about the delectable Chocolate Mousse Pate?
We are pleased to announce that your chance has come… Iron Chef Mark Pawloswki, 3 time winner of the coveted Iron Chef of PA award, and Executive Chef of one of the few AAA 4 Diamond Restaurants in Pennsylvania and the only AAA 4 Diamond Restaurant in York will be opening his book of recipes for us all to peruse.
These Recipes are Delicious
Chef Marks’ recipes are closely guarded, but we have convinced him – with the help of Front Office Manager Ray Jackson (who dealt the cards) to share one of his seasonal recipes with us per month for the next 4 months. In true Yorktowne Hotel fashion, we want to include you in the recipe selection.
We hope you’ll help us determine which of the delicious dishes below to present first. Over the next two weeks we’ll share descriptions and names of entrées, desserts and appetizers, asking you to vote on which one should we have Chef Mark reveal first. Here is a quick peek …
- Panko Crusted Crabcakes vs. Cornmeal Crusted Halibut with Maryland Crab Ragout
- Grand Mariner Crème Brûlée vs. Cinnamon French Style Toast with Caramelized Bananas
So, let’s decide which one to see first. Tell us which recipe is most important you.. We’ll consider your wishes, calculate the votes and reveal the first recipe in the coming days.
How do I decide?
One day of the week we’ll reveal what the match-up is for that day among two delicious dishes. At the end of a determined period of time we’ll tally the votes and move on to the next match up. We’ll inform you once the first round of match ups are complete. At that point we’ll narrow repeat the process until we’ve got our winner.
Again, we’ll be sharing tidbits over the week, but we need your help to ultimately decide. When you see us mention the challenge be sure to chime in with your selection. And if your favorite dish isn’t selected this first month, don’t be afraid to enlist friends to help your vote get the nod.
