Lefty will then share with you his personal faith journey.

Gareth "Lefty" Biser, Professor Emeritus

Gareth "Lefty" Biser retired as Professor and Chairman of Health and Exercise Science at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA. He is a specialist in anatomy, physiology, adapted physical education, medical aspects of sports, and physiological responses to endurance training. He was also Director of the Gettysburg Outdoor Challenge Course. Prior to becoming Department Chair, he served as Head Trainer for the College.

He has served as Athletic Trainer for two U.S. Olympic Festivals and was an Alternate Olympic Trainer for soccer at the 1992 Barcelona Games.

Lefty has presented numerous Sports Medicine Clinics and presentations on related materials, including the topic Legal Liability in Sports. He has authored several publications on Sports Medicine. Lefty currently teaches training classes in CPR at Gettysburg Hospital.

As an undergraduate, Lefty pitched for the Gettysburg College Baseball Team. He has a Masters degree from Syracuse University.

Lefty and his wife Shirley reside in Gettysburg, PA. They have 5 children (two are deceased) and 7 grandchildren
