Selling Safety
By using the tools and tips we provide, you can help us keep the netSpray marketplace a safe place to buy and sell.
Phishing emails appear to be sent by a legitimate person or company, but are not. Often claiming to be sent by well-known companies, Phishing emails ask you to supply personal information, such as your credit card number, social security number or account password. Many times the email asks you to reply by clicking on a link in the email to go to a website that asks for this sensitive information. Once a scammer gets this information, your identity can be stolen and used to commit other crimes. Unfortunately, Phishing happens throughout the online world.
netSpray Anti-Scam Tips:
Never ever give out your personal information, credit card or bank account number, social security number, or driver license number, etc.
netSpray does not guarantee transactions. If a buyer or seller tells you netSpray will provide protection or a guarantee on the transaction, then it is fraudulent. For more information on netSpray’s liability, please refer to the netSpray User Agreement.
Before purchasing an item, always read the item listing carefully and make sure you understand the seller's shipping terms, refund and return policy, and other terms and conditions.
Anytime a deal seems too good to be true and you are asked to wire payments via Western Union or MoneyGram, this is a possible scam. netSpray only allows transactions utilizing one of our approved payment processors, such as PayPal and AlertPay.
Never accept funds where you are asked to send an overpayment portion back.
Never accept a partial payment when buying and selling online, especially if anyone asks you to make a partial payment first and they will ship the goods after receipt.
Do not deal with any Foreign Entity who claims they cannot accept funds directly from their buyer and ask you to use one of their third party payment methods.
Payment and Return Policy:
Make sure you know the terms of the seller for acceptance of condition ofp, payment method and return policy. netSpray does not guarantee transactions between a buyer and seller.
netSpray only allows payment through one of our approved Payment Processors. For your protection, we recommend using PayPal whenever possible as most transactions are covered for up to $2,000 through the PayPal Buyer Protection Plan.
