I LOVE Riding Lessons To Go! After three years in a full training program, I was anxious about trying it on my own. Although I trust my horse & I are confirmed in the basics, I am also equally aware of the mess any amateur can make if given enough time...

What I have discovered in Riding Lessons To Go is my anchor to the basics. I will admit to savoring my lessons (much like a great bottle of Scotch.) I worked through the series slowly and repeat lessons frequently. They are timeless...

There have been a few "ah ha" moments, one of which is the exhale during transitions. Wow. Who knew? My horse remains supple, loose and connected. Simply terrific.

My MP-3 lives in a beautiful draw-string carrying case. Trust me, I treat it with the respect it deserves. Thank you for being my personal trainer, where I need you to be and when I need you to be there.

Perfect Fit

Has anyone else checked out “Riding Lessons To Go” on Jane Savoie's Picks?
I’m finding this a perfect fit for me, and compliments the Happy Horse lessons nicely.

I do not have a regular in the flesh instructor. It is 3 ½ to 4 hours for me to travel for any type of dressage clinic, lesson or show, so it only happens a couple of times during the summer and then I try to combine a lesson and a show.

I looked at this site earlier when DM first started up and looked at it again a couple of weeks ago, I went back and forth, yes-no-yes-no. I decided yes and downloaded Training Level Test 1 series. OMG, I didn’t know if I was in Boot Camp or a Jane Fonda aerobics class. About a third of the way through the first lesson, during the break when she said, “Remember your horse is on break………you are not”, I almost saluted.

The first lesson focuses on rhythm; Colette has a strong voice and counts out the rhythm while guiding you through a very thorough lesson. My mind did not wander once and neither did my horse's. And so far, the quick interjection of position reminders and aids are right on with Jane and Ruth.

Thanks Jane for listing this site, I’m going to be utilizing this tool from the toolbox a lot.

UPDATE: This program really is amazing.  I checked the date I ordered Training Level Test Two , 8-14-09 and the actual test was held 8-30-09.  2 weeks...these lessons not only give you the skills, they give you the confidence to Show.Thanks again.
